I noticed that too. Gotta give Bernier props too, as I think he played a hell of a game for them. Lucky for us, Johnson was just a touch better.

So, here's an interesting tidbit I just noticed.

I was looking at the standings just to see how some of the other teams are doing overall and while doing so I was also looking at the goal differentials of the teams.

Boston has scored 22 goals, but allowed 26. Buffalo has scored 11 and allowed 15. Both of teams have played 6 games. So Boston has a top notch goalie and we have a career backup currently playing every game. Most people around here also said that our defense needed some serious work as well.

While I still think the defense could be improved, I'm pretty impressed with what they've been able to do so far. Boston is in for a world of hurt soon I think. That team has pretty much imploded.

He's 18 years old in his first NHL season. He's going to have good days and bad days. To be quite honest, I didn't think he played bad last night. Just couldn't bury any of his chances.

Funny, I watched the Leaf broadcast and they were gushing all over him and his play even though he didn't find the score sheet...

But hey I would be upset too if its been almost 3 years since your Leafs beat the Sabres in Buffalo.

I've disliked the Franson signing since day 1 and I'm trying not to judge but he is so damn slow.

Imo there's a reason he was still unsigned in September and we're realizing that now.

Positive note: The youth "core" Eichel, Sam, Kane, ROR, Ennis, Risto, Pysyk, McCabe seem to finally be adjusting. The first few games looked like a pickup roster, which is expected. Should be interesting to see who slides to the left when bogo comes back.

You guys got 4 power plays to their 1.... what a joke... In 3rd period alone, they should have gotten 2 power plays...
